"You have a great tavern and an even better and friendlier bartender"
-Dustin Helton, June 2008
"The Cheshire Lodge was a perfect place as I traveled through St. Louis after visiting with Family, Friends & Business members at the Kentucky Derby. As always, I hold such fond favors of hospitality at the Cheshire. Superbly Maintained Lodge. I was very pleased to return to the Cheshire after many years."
-Emery Rhodes, KC, MO, May 2008
"Throughout my stay, I was treated as though I were a member of the family or a close friend. Rarely have I seen the word "hospitality" taken as seriously as it was by your staff. Please rest assured that I plan to stay with you the next time I'm in St. Louis. In addition, I've already told several friends and my travel agent about my experience with you, and I hope that some more business will come to you as a result. Once again, many, many thanks--especially to Andrew, Fred, Lisa, Melvin, Tom, and Roberto. Happy holidays and peace to all your staff.
- Margaret Steiner, Bloomington, IN December 2007
"Because of my vocation, I get to do a lot of traveling and am used to staying in a variety of places. However, my stay at your lodge was fantastic and far beyond the normal experience that I have when I travel. In fact, when I got home, I bragged about my stay to my wife and we're talking about possibly spending some vacation time in St. Louis and experiencing the Cheshire Lodge together. Thanks again for your perfect service and excellent accommodations."
- Pastor Dwayne Hilty, Salem, OR October, 2005
"We had a lovely stay at your gracious house and enjoyed every minute. Your staff is so nice and we appreciated the courtesy trips on your little bus. We will recommend you to all our friends."
- Charles & Norma McDonnell, Clinton, IA November, 2004
“I found the Cheshire Lodge
delightful, comfortable and very welcoming. I was also much
entertained by the Olde Worlde Eynglisshe Signs (such as
Ye Car Park.). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.”
- Dr. Elisabeth Whipp, London, England
“I would like to give a special
thanks to Kathleen and all the housekeeping staff for their
help; they made us feel welcome. Our stay at the hotel was
very pleasant, especially the hospitality and cleanliness.
If we come back to visit our daughter at Washington University
we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Cheshire. We enjoyed
it very much.”
Anna Fernandez
“Brian Van Sickle who is currently
staying with you asked me to send you a letter to express
his immense satisfaction in your hotel and staff. He did
not wish to delay in telling you how much he has enjoyed
staying with you and how great your entire staff is. His
family has had a wonderful time and your establishment has
been the highlight of their weekend together. It would appear
he and his family are completely taken with all of you and
he has vowed to stay with you every time he is in the St.
Louis area. Your theme rooms and medieval décor have
truly captured his heart.”
- Laura Hulse, Administrative Assistant, Big Cedar Lodge,
Ridgedale, MO July, 2003
"This letter is to inform you
of the terrific evening my husband & I had on June 26,
2004. This was our last night together because my husband
is in the military & was deployed to Iraq this morning.
We started our evening at Fox & Hound Pub for drinks
and met some very nice people- two ladies working behind
the bar and the head bartender, Mark Pollman. He was kind
enough to make a toast to Ben and bought him a drink. When
he returns in March – April, 2005, we have every intention
of reliving this evening that we were so lucky to share
with each other. We would recommend visiting the Fox &
Hound Pub, the Cheshire Lodge and LoRusso’s Cucina
in St. Louis. Through the professionalism and kindness of
everyone involved we truly had an evening to remember.Thank You St.
Louis!!!!"
Love,
